Fishing and Hunting in British Columbia are sports that are taken seriously. Fishing lodges in BC are amongst the best. There is an abundance of local knowledge to be shared. Fishing equipment is readily available. Steelhead and Salmon fishing attracts people from all over the world to the Bulkley Valley.
Our swiftly running rivers, give countless opportunities for other watersports. White water rafting, canoeing and kayaking to name a few. How about water skiing or boating on Thyee Lake in the Provincial Park? Or you could swim off the beach there.
In the early summer we have Alpine Meadows carpeted with flowers. Walk to Twin Falls where you will see water cascading down the mountain as it has done for hundreds of years. The Kathlyn Glacier is a mile wide gorge in the Hudson Bay Mountain. The colours in the morning on the glacier are fascinating.
DownHill and Cross-country Skiing, Snow Boarding and Snowmobiling are our winter sports aswell as Ice Climbing. The SkiHill has crystal white powder snow. No lengthy line-ups for the ski lifts here.
